I am adventurous, inquisitive, tenacious, seldom still and downright creative. As a professional Marketer/Designer, I have acquired various skills, worked in many mediums and continue to adopt new technology for the sole purpose of efficiently expressing the ideas in my head.
The perfect opportunity for a little company to make a big splash
For the past 5 years, I have worked full-time as part of a “roll up your sleeves” marketing team for a healthcare data analytics company. They started as a bootstrapped start-up looking for a freelance designer to illustrate "learning maps". Over the course of just 9 years, I was fortunate enough to help them grow into a $14M per annum revenue company. My responsibilities included all things graphical and creative.
My career had meager beginnings
When I was in grade-school, my brother and I created an imaginary "Doggie Hockey" league in which all the neighborhood dogs were members. Our labrador, Deacon, played right-wing for the Dogoppolis Bites. Man was he good! As my brother gravitated to keeping team stats and player standings, I took charge of team branding, passionately sketching out team logos while focusing on colors and uniforms. I guess you could say this was the genesis.
